The crew aborted the climb at 14,000 feet and decided to return to San Francisco without declaring an emergency. The crew indicated that they were expecting a normal landing, however, he requested emergency services on standby due to the heavy landing. The aircraft landed safely on runway 28R approximately 22 minutes after takeoff. New registration of Boeing 757-200 N17126 arrived at Newark approximately 5.5 hours late. The plane is still on the ground about 24 hours after it came down again.

The standard configuration is 202 six-way leather seats, with 31 inches of recline. There is versatility in the layout as the seats convert, at the touch of a button, to four up-to-date and the center seat transforms into a drop-down cocktail table. All rows can be covered, giving maximum seating flexibility, and movable curtain dividers can be installed to create two-class cabins. If all rows are changed, the plane will have 134 seats.
The aircraft is available in full business class with either 80 seats in a four-abreast configuration or 76 seats in two club-four configurations (note: the four rear-facing seats cannot be used for take-off or landing). The comfortable cradle seats offer a huge seat pitch of 50 inches, combined with light gray leather makes the cabin spacious and airy. The seats are fully equipped with in-seat power and USB charging points.
