As for wear, I've been running this kit on my EDC (everyday carry) Glock for the past month, and I haven't noticed any wear on the controls yet.

Control Kit's functionality is fantastic The extended slide release is amazing Definitely a really cool upgrade to put on your Glock if you want to make the slide release easier. Another advantage is that those with less finger strength can release the slide more comfortably with this upgrade. Since I added this kit my girlfriend has had no problem manipulating the slides.
The pins themselves don't add anything in the way of hardness to the weapon, so colors added to the color of the gun are often what you'll see here.
These actually offer some advantages over stock They are more pointed and easier to pull when removing slides Also, they are 3mm longer than stock Not a huge improvement over stock but still something worth noting If you have any issues with the tabs on your stock Glock, this may be worth your build.
Overall I like this kit, and think it's a great addition to my Glock build If you're looking for a colorful kit to complete your build or add some sparkle to it I think this is a great option.

If you're looking for some minor performance improvements in your Glock and you don't want a flashy Glock, I'd suggest just picking up the factory black extended slide release and calling it a day. (Extended slide release link for you Gen 5 Glock folks)
The "slide removal tabs" (enhanced slide lock), in my opinion, do not warrant the purchase of this kit. Of course, it's a nice addition to the rest of the kit I think they are improving the factory, but not by much If you are interested in purchasing them separately, click here Gen5 folks, this one's for you

Complete kit fitted Took about half an hour I was skeptical about the purchase because I wasn't sure about replacing the stock parts, but I couldn't be happier! Everything looks perfect and beautiful compared to the original part Looks great! Definitely worth the $50 for me!

I ordered this kit to "pimp" my new Glock 19X in gold, and it looks great! The enhanced slide stop lever is the best and most functional upgrade My only complaint is that the jagged edge of the slide lock is very sharp, tearing the skin on my left thumb which naturally rests on the end of the slide lock; I fixed it with a jeweler file
Great product. Removing the slide is no longer a chore and I can slide it forward with my fingers for quick magazine changes instead of holding it. The bright red really pops against the natural black of the gloss

From day one on my beloved G45 I absolutely fought the factory slide lock when it came time to clean it up...I always felt the factory was cheap and didn't fit my chassis on all the seats. , with that being said I immediately went looking for a solution, the Extended Precision Slide Lock that comes in this kit solved every problem I had with the factory! Now it's not going to slip through my fingers! It fits better than the factory so it doesn't move around when you try to take it apart to clean it The slide release was an added bonus for me I personally had no issues with the factory but with the color availability and the gold option I couldn't resist...it makes the slide move a lot smoother, but I feel personally. Its more like work I love that it comes with an extension pin for the backdrop, I don't use a backdrop, but it's amazing to have it included if I change my mind in the future.
